For everyone who I've told to read the Vorkosigan series who hasn't read it (and if you're reading this and haven't yet read it, consider yourself told): The entire series is now available online. For free. Legitimately. Go read it.
(Except, for some reason, Memory. Goddamnit, that's the one I've been wanting to reread and can't find. It's also a really key book in the structure of the series, so I can't advise starting Komarr until you've read that.)

Coolness, thanks for the link!

Date: 2010-10-31 09:17 pm (UTC)I'd say to start off with Cetaganda in Miles, Mystery & Mayhem (and the other ones in there too are fine, since they're not particularly chronologically dependent on anything). It's a standalone action/adventure type that's not her best, but pretty good. Her best ones almost always come after one of her weaker ones that set up the situation, so I can't really recommend any of them to start off with.
The chronological order for after that, or if that's what you prefer, is:
Cordelia's Honor
Young Miles
Miles Errant
Miles, Mystery & Mayhem
Memory (not available free, unfortunately)
Miles in Love
Miles, Mutants & Microbes
Cryoburn
...Miles doesn't even look like a word any more.
