I really have to wonder. I mean, Lackey is an old con hand, she /has/ to know about furry-dom. And yet she writes those couples as if they were cross-racial, instead of cross-species.

Of course, she pretty much buggers up any culture she gets her pen on, so I suppose this isn't a huge surprise.
